Impulse – Forschung und internationale Kooperation (Impulse – Research and International Cooperation, www.impulse.at) is a non-profit research institution with the legal status of a registered association (eingetragener Verein). It conducts research in education and training with a special focus on European developments (EQAVET, EQF, ECVET,) and supports European integration through partnerships and cooperation projects. Maria Gutknecht-Gmeiner director of IMPULSE, was an expert in all previous Peer review projects and has long experience both in evaluation and in policy-relevant EU projects (see below). In Austria, Peer Review already is part of the national quality assurance system QIBB since 2009 and actually its was Maria Gutknecht-Gmeiner that contacted the feasibility study and the piloting in Austria for ARQA_VET before Peer Review went nation-wide therefore IMPULSE is holding a valuable expertise on how to transfer the European Peer Review into the national systems.
